Ravinder Minhas - Co-Founder and President, Minhas Breweries and Distilleries

 

Mr. Minhas joined the FortisAlberta Board of Directors in January 2025. Mr. Minhas brings more than 25 years of CEO experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, marketing and government and public relations with Minhas Breweries & Distillery a company he co-founded in 1999.  Under his leadership, the company manufactures and distributes beverages across North America and 25 countries, serving major retailers like Costco, Loblaws, Trader Joe's, Walgreens, and Sobeys.

Active in his community, Mr. Minhas is a Calgary Stampede Board of Director and a prominent figure in the local Sikh community.

He is a co-owner of the Edmonton Stingers CEBL basketball team, was a founding board member of Canada Jetlines and past board member of Calgary’s Beakerhead amongst other community and constituency boards.

Mr. Minhas has also received many prestigious awards including the Schulich Engineering Entrepreneurship Alumni Award, University of Calgary’s Graduate of the Decade, Calgary and Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 and Fetal Alcohol Service Distinction Award.

Mr. Minhas holds a BSc in Oil and Gas Engineering from the University of Calgary.
