Janine brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to her role as President and Chief Executive Officer of FortisAlberta. A longtime member of the Fortis Inc. family, Janine has developed a deep understanding of the regulated utility space in progressive leadership positions at both Newfoundland Power and FortisAlberta.

In her current role, Janine is responsible for ensuring FortisAlberta meets the evolving needs of its customers. Under her leadership, the company is focused on integrating reliability, affordability and sustainability to deliver value for customers and support economic growth in the communities it serves.

Janine serves on the Board of Directors of FortisBC, Electricity Canada, Western Energy Institute and CAREERS: The Next Generation, where she supports initiatives like the Registered Apprenticeship Program to connect youth with opportunities in skilled trades. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Memorial University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Alberta and Newfoundland and Labrador. She is also an inaugural member of Electricity Canada’s Women in Electricity Leadership Circle.

Originally from Newfoundland, Janine has proudly called Alberta home for almost 20 years. She has come to know the province well, whether through her regular visits to FortisAlberta’s 37 service points, spanning from Conklin to Coaldale, or by driving her two boys to hockey rinks across Alberta.

Cam leads FortisAlberta’s Operations and Customer Experience teams, two areas that interact directly with customers every day. From Power Line Technicians to Customer Care Representatives, his team is committed to providing exceptional customer service while delivering safe, reliable electricity across Alberta.

Before advancing into leadership roles, Cam began his career at FortisAlberta as a Power Line Technician. More than 35 years later, this frontline experience continues to drive his commitment to service and safety. He earned a Master of Business Administration and completed the Executive Leadership program at Queen’s University.

Now based in Airdrie, Cam’s upbringing in Vermilion gave him a deep appreciation for Alberta’s agricultural roots and the rural communities that FortisAlberta proudly serves.

With 35 years in the regulated utility industry, Todd is entrusted to advance FortisAlberta’s position as an economic partner to its diverse stakeholders. Whether engaging with government or pursuing new business opportunities, Todd plays an integral part in addressing the evolving needs of our key accounts, Indigenous communities and local municipalities, focusing on innovative solutions and non-wire alternatives.

In past roles with the company, Todd has held senior positions across multiple areas of the business, including Customer Service, Operations, Forestry and Supply Chain Management. He graduated from the Civil Engineering Technology program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and the Executive Leadership program at Queen’s University.

With deep ties to Alberta, Todd hails from Fairview, and is a lifelong Edmonton Oilers fan.

Curtis is responsible for the strategic direction of FortisAlberta’s engineering department, ensuring customers receive safe and reliable electricity. Under his direction, Curtis’ team is preparing the grid for the future, using innovative technology to stormproof the system, connect renewables, mitigate wildfire risks and manage loads to make electricity more affordable for customers.

Curtis has over 30 years of engineering experience and brings a deep understanding of Alberta’s regulatory environment to his role. Prior to joining the company, he served as Vice President, Customer Care and Operations at Belize Electricity Limited. He holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Colorado and is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta.

As an Airdrie resident, Curtis is proud to live in the company’s service territory and calls himself both an employee and customer of FortisAlberta.

Richard brings almost two decades of combined legal and regulatory experience to FortisAlberta’s executive leadership team. In addition to serving as the company’s General Counsel, Richard is accountable for overseeing FortisAlberta’s regulatory affairs and strategic planning functions.

He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, as well as a past member of the Law Society of Ontario.

Richard and his family enjoy spending time in the Crowsnest Pass area throughout the year, hiking and biking in the summer months and skiing when the snow flies. 

Brett plays a key role in ensuring FortisAlberta remains financially well-positioned to reliably deliver electricity to homes, farms and businesses across the province. He and his team implement cost-saving strategies to help keep customer bills as low as possible while making prudent investments in the electricity grid — supporting job creation, economic growth and a more reliable system.

Brett’s career with the Fortis Inc. family spans two decades. He gained a deep understanding of the regulated utility industry during his 15 years at FortisBC before joining FortisAlberta in 2020. A Chartered Accountant, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia and Alberta.

After spending time in Manitoba, Northwest Territories and the Okanagan, Brett and his family have put down roots in Alberta. He enjoys taking in the province’s scenic landscapes while travelling to meet employees and customers throughout the company’s service territory.

Rob leads FortisAlberta’s Customer Operations and Information Services, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience. From modernizing metering infrastructure to strengthening cybersecurity, Rob and his team ensure FortisAlberta remains at the forefront of innovation, delivering reliable service while driving cost-saving efficiencies for customers.

With nearly 25 years at the company, Rob has held various positions in IT, developing extensive industry knowledge and technical expertise. A Chartered Professional Accountant, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and is a graduate of Queen’s University’s Executive Leadership program.

A lifelong Albertan, Rob enjoys hiking, golfing and snowboarding in FortisAlberta’s service territory, making the most of the province’s great outdoors.
